New "Plain Talk About Health" Lecture Offered to Community

MODESTO, CA - Sutter Gould Medical Foundation and Memorial Medical Center's Regional Cancer Center will hold a free lecture entitled
"What You Need To Know About Cancer."

The lecture is part of the Gateway Library's popular "Plain Talk About Health" series.

The event will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2002, from 12 noon to 1 p.m. at 500 Coffee Road, Suite D (behind the Gateway Health Library) in Modesto.

The guest lecturer is David Shiba, M.D., an Oncologist from Gould Medical Group. His topics will include:

• What causes cancer?


• How does cancer spread?


• Strategies for minimizing cancer risk
