Clinical Laboratory Department
The SGMF Clinical Laboratory is licensed by the California Department of Public Health and accredited by CLIA (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act).
Testing is performed on automated laboratory equipment that allows for positive patient ID with barcoded specimens, and auto-sampling from the specimen collection tube.
SGMF's Clinical Laboratory:
- is staffed with highly trained professionals consisting of: Clinical Laboratory Scientists, Laboratory Assistants/Specimen Processors, Certified Phlebotomy Technicians I and Receptionists.
- is an Immediate Response Laboratory which provides STAT and general labortory testing for our patients.
- provides quality work for patients and continually strives to improve services to meet its patient's needs.
- provides testing in the following specialties: Hematology, Chemistry, Urinalysis and Coagulation.
- participates in the CAP (College of American Pathologists) Proficiency Testing, and with our internal Quality Assurance Program, monitors all aspects of patient testing throughout the pre-analytic, analytic, and post-analytic phases of patient testing.

Our lab draw stations are open Monday through Friday. Saturday appointments may also be available at select location.
